Here’s a dip that’s simple to prepare at the last minute. Add it to the snack table at a party. Everyone loves this one. Nothing to take home but an empty bowl.
Bean Dip
1 can (30 oz) refried beans (I use vegetarian)
1 t garlic powder
1/2 c prepared salsa
1 t ground cumin
Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan. Simmer on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Garnish with cheddar or Mexican blend cheese, if desired. Serve warm with baked tortilla chips.
